Project Summary
Abstract
Campus events become hard to discover when announcements are fragmented across departments, clubs, and student initiatives.
This project built a unified platform where organizers could publish events and students could discover, register for, and plan around activities from across NIT Calicut.
By centralizing schedules, the system improved student visibility while helping organizers identify conflicts before overlapping events diluted participation.
What I Built
- A centralized event system addressed fragmented announcements spread across clubs, associations, and initiatives.
- The supporting SRS and design documentation show that the project was modeled with both user workflows and system structure in mind.
Impact
- Improved event discovery for students while helping organizers surface clashes and expand reach.
- Adds an early full-stack example that combines implementation with formal software-design artifacts.
